Michael is a endorsed Clinical Psychologist with experience across public and private settings. He has worked in the alcohol and other drug (AOD) field for over 15 years, beginning with St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney across services including inpatient withdrawal (Gorman House), the Stimulant Treatment Program (STP), and Homeless Health Outreach. Locally, Michael works for Manning Hospital within the Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services.

Michael relocated to Old Bar on the NSW Mid North Coast 10 years ago and currently works in both NSW Health and private practice. He has a strong interest in psychological trauma, including PTSD, Complex PTSD, attachment trauma, betrayal trauma, and trauma experienced by adult survivors, victims of crime and First Responders.

Michael is experienced in providing therapy to adults with complex trauma, substance use issues, mood and axiety disorders, and personality vulnerabilities.

Michael uses a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). His practice is guided by trauma-informed principles and a client-centred approach.

Michael is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and a Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists (FCCP). He is also a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (MAAPI), the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA), the Australasian Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ASTSS), the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law (ANZAPPL). He is also an Associate Member of the APS College of Forensic Psychologists.

Michael is also a Board-Approved Supervisor with AHPRA, offering supervision to provisionally registered psychologists and registrars.
